Those of you with the early, carb-model Vulcans like the 800 and 1500 Classics as well as the 1500 Nomads, Engineered Adapters has answered your calls to manufacture a solution to easily mount a 7″ LED headlight into your bike!
This bracket is made to fit:
1996-2004 Vulcan 1500 Classic (not FI)
1996-2005 Vulcan 800 Classic (not FI)
1999-2001 Vulcan 1500 Nomad (not FI)
*** NOTE: If you have a headlight “brow” it will no longer fit with this bracket installed ***
We have additional LED adapter brackets for Voyager/Vaqueros or other big Vulcan models including any FI models of those listed above. Yes, the same year and model can run different light brackets if one is a carb model and one is the FI model! These fit the carbureted models only.
This bracket allows full use of the factory adjustment screws* and takes about 20-30 minutes to install with simple hand tools. This is the perfect solution to replace the weak factory headlight giving you not only better daytime visibility to other drivers, but much improved night time vision!
*Anytime a new headlight is installed, re-adjusting the aim is required*

Most LED headlights are designed to fit HD-motorcycles and, as a result, require an adapter to mount into your Kawasaki Vulcan. This adapter has been specifically design, engineered and manufactured to fit you early model Kawasaki Vulcan carbureted motorcycles! This is the ONLY product on the market that is a bolt-in, plug-n-play solution to install an LED headlight!
Do you need to purchase the Engineered Adapters LED headlight to fit? No. You can install just about any 7″ LED headlight that is made to fit an HD as this provides the method to adapter those lights to your Vulcan! Be advised, not all LED headlights are the same. In addition to differing quality between different manufacturers, some may require more angle adjustment to prevent night-blinding oncoming drivers.

This adapter completely changed the riding experience for me. The factory reflector and halogen bulb were always underwhelming and made night riding feel limited. I even tried upgrading to an LED bulb in the stock reflector, while it helped slightly, it never reached the level where I felt fully confident after dark. This adapter finally made it possible to install Day Maker replicas on my Vulcan, and the difference is truly night and day. The build quality feels solid, and it seems like a part that will last the life of the bike.
