Does the price include a set or just one?

Our price is for a set. In the case of the 6.5” Fairing Adapters, for example, a left and right adapter is included as well as some additional mounting hardware. Each item page will list the included parts and may be under the tab “Additional Info” or similar

Do I have to cut my fairing for the adapters?

The short answer is NO – in most cases. The long answer is only if you purchase speakers that have magnets or covers that are too large to fit into the existing hole in the fairing. In addition, if you purchase separates you may need to cut a hole for the tweeter. Most speakers fit without cutting

Do the parts come assembled or do I need fasteners or adhesive?

Due to machine volume most parts will require assembly. They are engineered to lock together without glue, epoxy or adhesives. Should you decide to use use glue, only use ABS-friendly adhesives.

I made an order a few days ago – what is the status/when will it be delivered?

We generally require 2-3 business days to process in-stock orders. The fairing adapters and saddlebag mounts will list their estimated lead times. You should receive an automated confirmation page or email stating your order has been placed (so far, we haven’t had much luck in setting this up). Once we SHIP your item, we will email you (via the email attached to your PAYPAL account) with your tracking number and attach any necessary installation instructions. We do not send out status updates.

Should I upgrade my radio or just speakers?

That is ultimately your decision but the changing the factory radio to an aftermarket radio is likely to be the best upgrade you can make.

Can I keep my handlebar controls?

YES! If you install the PAC SWI-RC module along with your aftermarket stereo you CAN keep your handlebar controls!

Do you intend to design items for other brands?

Someday. Maybe. Right now we are focused on the Voyager and Vaquero but should the opportunity present itself we would take on designing for other manufacturers as well.

Should I get marine-grade electronics?

This is often debated online but the decision is yours. Most speakers and head units are robust enough to handle an occasional sprinkle. If you live in a rainy area or if you are an all-weather rider we recommend marine-rated speakers and head unit. Note that marine grade does NOT mean waterproof!

Is this a permanent alteration to my bike?

With the exception of the Saddlebag Mounts, everything has been designed with ease of installation – and ease of removal – in mind. Should you decide to trade-in your bike they will never give you the value of your accessories so many choose to remove them. The Saddlebag Mounts require cutting into the saddlebags and are, therefore, a permanent alteration

What size speakers fit?

Our Fairing Adapters and Saddlebag mounts are designed to fit most 6.5” speakers. These are a universal design but not every speaker will fit due to design characteristics or other reasons. We continue to update our list of compatible speakers which you can find listed under the item description.

What material are these made from?

Are these really 3D-printed?

Yes. Our lead engineer has designed and developed each of these items, many of them patent-pending! We do have some items that are not plastic such as the amp bracket which is aluminum

Can they be painted?

They can! Due to the slight texture created from the manufacturing process we recommend sanding them smooth before painting

Do you offer custom colors?

We sometimes may experiment with various colors and when we do we’ll offer those as a special buy. We may add custom colors in the future but right now you can have any color you want as long as it’s black.

Do you have your items in stock?

Most. We generally have some units of each of our items but due to the high popularity of the Fairing Adapters and to a lesser degree, the Saddlebag Mounts, combined with the extraordinary amount of manufacturing time, those items are generally on backorder. This simply means we need some time to manufacture them. This lead time is generally listed on the item page as we try to keep that updated

Do you offer a veteran, military, LEO or first-responder discount?

Engineered Adapters highly respects those who make sacrifices to protect our national interests, keep order locally and respond to emergency services. We don’t offer this yet but this is something we are working toward!

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Most items have the option to select USPS Priority Mail which is generally 2-3 days – but some items like the Fairing Adapters may have a lead time.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Shipping rates are flat to keep things simple but we only ship First Class internationally. Should you need to have an item expedited and you are willing to cover the expense then contact us to make arrangements. Note that due to customs and distance, international orders can sometimes take 1-2 weeks to arrive!

Do you make rear speaker pods for the Voyager?

Among one of our most frequent questions! The OEM rear pods are definitely not inexpensive – and most of us would pull the speakers out immediately after buying! We have this project set for the future to determine feasibility as we feel we could even improve over the original design but the volume (size, not sales) could pose a challenge when it comes to manufacturing

What kind of warranty or return policy do you offer?

We are a very small company and have not yet imposed any specific warranty or return policy but we have stood behind our product for every issue anyone has ever had! Customer service is a trait long abandoned by many companies but we intend to make that one of our best features! We review each claim on an individual basis but we are fair as each customer will tell you. We do emphasize to please follow the installation instructions that are sent when you purchase your items
